     Director of Sales Operations – Hauppauge, NY

     

    Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will manage the day to day activities of sales operations while working collaboratively with functional leaders to develop strategic short and long-term plans to enhance sales systems in support of critical sales initiatives.  You will partner with various owners of business processes to create a cross-business roadmap for various systems (sales) implementation and rollout including prioritization of enhancement requests.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other departments including Finance, Operations and Marketing.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement; Diagnoses the analytics requirements of the sales organization; Designs and delivers reporting and metrics to meet these requirements.
    • Monitors the accuracy and distribution of sales reports to the executive team and sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, and assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
    • Works closely with sales leadership to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
    • Creates communication flows between operations, asset management, and sales to ensure optimal customer execution.
    • Owns Salesforce.com platform to increase compliance, accuracy of reports, and effectiveness for sales while communicating “Best Practices” to sales and sales leadership.
    • Works with Marketing to ensure the availability and currency of collateral and other marketing assets used in the field.
    • Administers all sales incentive compensation plans, and provide continual feedback on their effectiveness and areas of improvement.
    • Coordinates training and onboarding for new hires, setting them up for success on day one.
    • Supports the development of Sales Strategy thru research and analysis of opportunities, segmentation, and territory management.
    • Leads day-to-day Sales Management Process (cadence, pipeline reviews, etc.).
    • Prepares management reports on a timely basis inclusive of current status, win/loss trends and key sales metrics.
    • Supervises the RFP, contracts, and sales proposal process.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in Sales Operations, supporting a dynamic B2B Solution Sales organization with Experience in change management
    • Subject matter expertise specific to SFDC – Including Best practices, process design, development and process improvements.
    • Ability to work with finance and comfort working with and presenting financial analysis/ reporting to finance leads and peers
    • Reliable with the ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from Senior Management – You take responsibility for actions/ outcomes and are accountable.
    • Possess business insight, strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
    • Proven track record of complex project planning, management and delivery
    • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and Power Point capabilities, data base and pivot table development
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
    • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, a commitment to quality, results driven and customer focused
    • Ability to work across organization to support ideation and work to build consensus
    • Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies.
    • College degree required, MBA preferred.
